Grandma's china.

My Granny was born in 1885 in Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
When she was old enough to work, she went 'into service', living and looking after the house, for people who owned businesses in Newcastle.
Her friend of the same age, got a job with Maling's Pottery near to home in Byker.
This cup and saucer were given to my Granny(Maggie) by her friend(Hannah) who hand decorated the china in 1902.
Over the years Granny collected other Maling pottery, but none was as precious as this cup and saucer.
