Public Transportation and cold weather

My buddy said it would be cold when I arrived in Chicago - I didn't realize exaclty how cold he meant.

How to dress in California - Boardshorts and a t-shirt - sometimes pants and a hoodie during the winter months.

How to dress in Chicago - Pants, long underwear, warm socks, t-shirt, longsleeve t-shirt, sweater, wool coat, scarf, knit hat and gloves. Facemask and handwarmer for some.

I guess it was a nice change for a while, but can't wait to get back to LA.
