Dusky Buddleia
Today we are bunking off. We are tired, we want to relax, and we want to stay at home. So we are.
It has been a slightly odd day. Bit of deskwork this morning, bit of snoozing on the sofas, then getting ready to go out to a concert at the Barbican.
However, we got about 5 miles down the road and realised that neither of us really felt like going. We have busy times coming up, we're tired, and we'd rather be tucked up in bed going to sleep at 10.30 than getting home at midnight, having to wind down, bathe & eat, and eventually getting to sleep around 1.30 before the 6.00 alarm tomorrow morning.
So we turned round and came home.
I was going to blip something from the Barbican, but instead used the last of the light to take a silhouetty picture of the buddleia that I really should trim a bit before there's any risk of it getting weighed down with snow and falling over AGAIN (it's already tied to the wall with a bit of rope).
And now we're going easy on ourselves, snoozing on the sofas and not beating ourselves up about staying at home.
Sometimes there are times when it is better to rest than to go hurtling round the country.
I'm learning!
