Blackheaded Gull

Over the Water of Leith.
I had a fine blipwander today, although I failed to capture any waxwings, so far. Much obliged to Anth for the tip about where a flock were hanging about; we saw them fly over the car, but not in the trees :(
Also spotted a goosander back on the Water of Leith, the first this winter.

We had the car-club car for the morning and somehow ended up at Waitrose for the first time. Liked it a lot. Oh dear, looks like we are finally accepting that we're middle aged and middle class. *sigh*
