Smarden, Kent

A great night out with friends at the Smarden Firework Parade & Display, almost blipped a tractor from the parade, the fireworks were awesome but I didn't have a tripod so nothing stood out but this fire was the BIGGESt bonfire I've ever seen so I had to choose it :)

It was a tad scary driving back as we kept hitting swaths of swirling fog but thankfully it was really late so not many cars on the road. One of my family branches originated from Smarden (ended up in Dumfies Scotland) and I have managed to track the line back to the late 1600's, many of them are buried in the Church which still stands in the village.
