The meaning of Joy

Joy to rejoice, a feeling of happiness - the theme set for the Aberdeen blippers this week.

For me joy was early morning sunrise at St Cyrus and 10s of thousands of geese flying overhead from the Montrose basin.

Seeing a flying grouse and short eared owl whilst listening to Scheherazade on my way to St Cyrus was an excellent start to the day. I have uploaded some of this morning sights and I hope you enjoy them. I particularly liked the hovering bird of prey (no idea which type) as the geese approached in the background. As I left a chilly and frosty St Cyrus I met two beautiful deer hind.

For me a joyous start to the week.
