With mountains like these

Ben played for the other Alevins (1 and 2 years older) team this morning. He did well, but they lost. All happy though. We had a quick shufty round the square and then returned home to give little Agu a rest. He had his second triple vaccine yesterday and a tetanus, and was a little pale and wan (for him).

Then, just as we could have all quite easily stayed put, orisit called and we scooted out to the Port for a children-tiring exercise at the park, on the beach and round the boats. It's so quiet in the port now. Love it.

The others went homewards, but the boys wanted to show me the sea from the cliff top, (in the daylight here), so we had a walk up and watched the last of the fishing boats come in. This is the view from there, but looking back towards the port, with the museum on the right.

And of course Wok called to us. We had to wait for it to open, but got the freshest of the sushi and dim sum and noodles. The boys seemed to think it was really late when we got back, and they flopped into bed without asking. I'm off to read the end of An Elephant In the Garden, by Michael Morpurgo ( a gift to Ben from AKHF). What fantastic childrens' writing, something to aspire to in it's ease of narration of a difficult topic. And more easily digested than the oriental fusion in my tum.
