Wife Wanted

Thats what the sign says. Then the very first fact a prospective wife is given is that the toilet is 50m. I guess hope springs eternal, made me smile anyway.

This part of Copenhagen was an abandoned army base that was taken over by hippies in the 70's. Christiania is now an established part of the city with it's own special social rules. It is essentially a huge commune that is self sufficient (nearly) and independant of the countrys laws (nearly). There are a great many artistic types living here who all offer their wares to the great many visitors who come streaming to Copenhagens No.1 unofficial tourist attraction.

I'll come back to Christiania another day - it's a very special place.
