Drinking in the morning sun

The view from our hotel bedroom this morning.

We spent yesterday evening in Birmingham, eating a meal at a curry house we last visited in about 1983 followed by a drink at the University of Birmingham Student's Union - which, oddly, was almost completely empty. We both used to work in the bars there.

This morning, we walked around the campus, which looks beautiful at this time of year, then drove around Birmingham visiting the various houses we used to live in (not all of which were that beautiful and one of which has since been demolished!).

Bit of a nostalgia-fest to be honest but great fun.
