Huntington Gardens
After a beautiful wedding in La Jolla, a baby shower in Long Beach, and a couple of days seeing old friends and colleagues in Riverside, today we met up with my parents for breakfast at Mimi's Cafe (delicious muffins) in Rancho Cucamonga and then headed west to kill a few hours ambling around the grounds of the Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena. (As you can see, we covered most of southern CA in just a few days.)
The Huntington is a very peaceful place to pass a few hours. There's an impressive exhibition hall with a copy of the Gutenberg Bible (among much else), a large art gallery whose centerpieces are Blue Boy and Pinkie, and gardens representing nearly every region of the world (I particularly like the Chinese and Japanese gardens). This picture is just a peek at the growth above one of the walkways through the gardens.
