Autumn Amber
This morning the rain finally cleared from Sheffield and glorious sunshine broke through the grey clouds. I decided to spend a couple of hours walking round the local parks (a great way to avoid doing any work) looking for wintering birds that may have arrived while my back was turned as well as just enjoying the sun.
Unfortunately there were no waxwings in the park just yet. However I did get a chance to take a few photos. This amber and gold fallen leaf really caught my eye. The light from behind really picks out every vein and shows the brilliant complexity of its structure.
