Mills no 4 - Rugby Mill
... is my return to blip after the problems I've had with memory cards recently.
After ruining two memory cards, and losing virtually all the holiday shots taken on my new camera, it turns out that the problem was my card reader! I felt so disheartened, I wanted to give up blipping, but I'm having another go, so here it is..... !
Rugby Mill was built in 1908 to the design of F. W. Dixon & Son, a local competitor to the renowned Stott dynasty. The engine was a 1200 hp cross-compound by George Saxon.
Surrounded by 3 other former cotton mills that are still in use for other industries, Rugby Mill is now derelict.
