Waxwings lunching.

I didn't get out for a walk today. I noticed some waxwings on a tree near home, so went and bought some apples for them.

The starlings were on them first, but the waxwings arrived and pretty much pushed them aside.

They are looking a bit bedraggled. Perhaps they have just arived from Scandinavia or Russia, or pehaps it was just the rain.

This is taken through the living-room window, so isn't of the best quality.
