Letras y Figuras

A lovely sunrise to start our day, beautiful enough to welcome our next door museum's 13th Adobo Festival. It was a well attended affair with the Adobo contestants more daring in their creations. Adobo is a way of cooking anything from beef to seafood to veggies with just a few basic ingredients that includes vinegar, garlic, bay leaf and black pepper. Aside from the cooking competition, there were artists doing the Letras y Figuras. These are painted animals, fruits and vegetable and the like, made to look like the letters of the alphabet. An artform uniquely Filipino just like our Adobo.
