Rainie

Undie 700!!

This morning at 6.30 am (a very early start for me) 15 scooters & two small dogs set of on a 570 km two day ride to Nelson.  The engine has to have a capacity of less than 51cc and a maximum cost of $700.  A fundraising campaign for The Cancer Society and Mental Health Foundation makes this a very worthy cause.   This is my blip today, perhaps a little messy, but what the heck!!

Top Left - the corner they set off from  (cafe on the corner where we had breakie after they we on there way)
Top Right - scooter done our in denim, very cool
Bottom Left - my boss Rachael on the left with Toastie, and Lucy on the right (see Lucy as physiotherapist on my blip Monday 1st November)
Bottom Right - Lucy ready to go.

Good luck to them, and I have since had a text that Lucy's scooter refused to restart after break at Ashbuton.  The weather is henis today, cold southerly winds with driving rain.  Toastie is now in one of the support vehicles as was getting cold.

We so need this rain, and hope it will continue for a while.

Looking forward to the final of the rugby tonight, our Crusaders against one of those North Island teams !!!

And...go the All Blacks against England tomorrow night.

Have a great weekend :)
