...like a candle in the wind.........

Tonight the Boss , the Daughter and I went up to the Rose & Crown for the Thursday night "fun" quiz.

The guy who reads the questions is a real numpty, in love with the sound of his own voice.

One of the questions was " Heroin worth more than £1m was burned by troops last week. Which political group did the heroin belong to?" When we came to the answers he said "The £1m worth of heroin belonged to the Taliban....but I'll accept Al Quieda as the answer" When people protested his reply was "Taliban, Al Quieda, one and the same thing!" What a dipstick!!

Any way, when we arrived tonight and went to our favoured table...number 13...... we noticed several candles and holders scattered about....obviously some one had had a birthday party. I couldn't resist blipping them because obviously the party had never got to the lighting the candles bit as they were all in pristine condition. We didn't win tonight, beaten by 7 points by a group of teenagers, I think they may have been called "The Googlers", or "Web Masters" or "Internet answers" or something similar, either that or they were 5 certified geniuses! I'm starting to think of giving up Thursday nights or finding another quiz....I don't mind losing ( well I do actually) but I hate being ripped off!

Oh well it's time for bed, said Zebedee!
