The Season is Over

I certainly miss being home during the day when it's a bit easier to get a photo. Once I was home from work this evening, I walked around the hosta bed to see how the flower stalks looked. I probably would have already cut these down for the season, but due to circumstances beyond my control, haven't been able to do much fall flower maintenance. These are almost empty seed pods for the hosta. The sedum is in the background. It's certainly not a pretty blip, and almost has a bit of desperation about it doesn't it :D
