Gone fishing

Despite a very dull and cold day for Southern Spain it seems that a family pass-time is fishing. Everyday you see family groups fishing, with all ages and genders represented.

"if you build it he will come"...seems the reality. If you build a structure near the water they will fish from it. Despite not seeing anyone catching anything and there being little sign of anything worth catching, the Spanish have an appetite for fishing that I am certain is unrivaled in the UK.

The wind came last night...we recorded 42 knots and it is building again, so maybe another restless night is ahead...right now the boat is filling with smells of baking and I say "let it blow!"...scones with creamy butter and jam keep me cosy and contented.
