The Thrashing Tree

When the sun starts to sink beneath dark clouds, the light takes on an extraoridnay quality. Today has been very hot and sunny, but towards the end of the day a southerly storm approached. I liked the way the light was striking this tree, but I wanted to get the way the wind was thrashing it around, as well. So, out with the tripod, set a high aperture to slow the shutter down and it was then a matter of waiting for a white car to add to the blur (other coloured cars didn't register as well). 0.3 seconds at f22
