Orange

Wild, wet and windy - grey apart from vivid splodges of orange - the beech leaves have gone orange, the grasses have gone orange, even the seaweed is brilliant orange.
This beautiful cluster of beeches are in the the garden of Graham Norton's house and I peeked ... peeked not climbed, ..over the wall to get this shot! There are some fabulous ancient and quite rare trees in his garden, mostly deciduous, a treat in a part of the country where trees don't abound.

The Arthouse film last night was highly enjoyable - The Concert - a Russian film telling the story of a has-been maestro conductor who, via a very convoluted plot and a lot of Russian humour, ended up conducting Tchaikovsky's Concerto in Paris. The final piece of music was just fantastic.
