Science Class!

This boardwalk must be at least 20 years old. Beneath it are the ruins of the previous boardwalk that was 40 years old when I was 6. They both span a red maple swamp behind the elementary school I attended so many years ago.

The reason for my return is an assignment for my enviro class. I have to spend a few hours here documenting all the flora and fauna I see while noting any "land management" systems in place. Today I could only spend an hour or so I'll be back tomorrow!
