Monet Museum, Paris
Some back-blipping of honeymoon photos (i'm feeling a bit guilty about not blipping as often as i'd like).
We went to this museum on a wet morning while waiting for the Louvre to open yet again. I was blown away by the size of Claude Monet's Waterlillies. Years before, in my BA, I'd spent hours pouring over the brushmarks and writing undergrad essays on the uniqueness of his work, and what every brushstroke said about 19th century French society. But those prints never prepared me for the real thing.
