let there be light

After going slightly overboard on explaining the whole - it is dark and the spirits of the dead are flocking to the light and therefore that is why we celebrate Halloween, the two youngest ones have taken to carrying around this flickering light to encourage them in!

Sienna's imagination is already working overtime (apparently she hears foxes at night in her bedroom!) so I am thinking we need to move swiftly onto the next 'celebration' - the relatively harmless one where they burn 'guys' on big fires!
