3cm gone

I called in to see my mum a few moments ago. She imparted some crucial and relevant information (I'm sure it's crucial and relevant to someone, though not me sadly): This pen had 3cm of ink in yesterday before she started her work. And now its almost empty. It didn't last as long as she thought it would. 

But I'm no better. I only went to visit on an unannounced blip hunt. 

Her mad-dog-jumping-about ones didn't work out as well as I had planned so thank goodness for my mothers eccentricity. 

So in retrospect I'm glad she told me about the 3cm of ink. And I agree. Surely it should last more than a day.
