Breathe deeply

The photo doesn't do it justice, but this is one of my favourite views. Crantock beach, Cornwall. This is the view as we walk up over the sand dunes and we are hit by this huge stretch of sand. It never fails to blow me away as I take deep breathes and enjoy the Cornish air. These days it feels like coming home. We visit most holidays but October is perhaps my favourite time, the beach is often empty, but the sun is still known to shine. Today the kids had a ball (as did we) surfing down the sand dunes on boogie boards, a favourite past time, and the perfect way to end a family holiday.
