Boo!

Completely forgot about blipping today and it was a rotten weather anyway. I was in a village hall meeting for two and a half hours listening to various council officials, housing magnates and worried villagers regarding a massive new housing development on the doorstep of our small village. It was dark by the time it finished, so I walked round the village with my camera (snooping again!) and saw lots of lanterns like this one outside houses. I sort of regret that we have imported yet another big commercialised 'tradition' from the US, but on the other hand, the kids love it and it brings out people's creativity.
