Young Beech in Autumn Colours, Monymusk

Off this bright autumn afternoon to hear a concert by 'Flutes en Route', the first in the 2010-2011 Winter Season of Sunday afternoon classical concerts in the Monymusk Arts Centre.

But here, on the way, my eye was caught by the brilliant autumn colours of this young beech tree, standing beside the long straight stretch of road leading northwards out of Monymusk village.

In the distance, one can catch a distant glimpse of Pitfichie Castle.
