Last of the Autumn colour?

November tomorrow and I can't help but think the leaves will soon be a memory.
I was struck yesterday by how lovely the colours were in the fields and hedgerows on the motorway on our way back from Gatwick. Even here in our back garden on a miserable day they seem very cheery.
