A Grand Day

Topped off an awesome 1/2 term week with a trip to the Dive Show! Managed to avert my bank account having a financial coronary and came back empty handed... Plenty of purchases to be had though if you had the cash in your pocket. The lovely R is thankful that I don't posses a credit card! It was a fantastic day thanks to R (brother of blipper Life is for living), S & D

The highlight had to be the Rethink Shark lecture by South African marine conservationist Lesley Rochet. Excellent lecture! I'm a big fan of the Shark in fact animals in general both land and ocean... I sometimes wonder how on earth I ended up teaching PE! The shark is a beautiful creature and I feel honoured that through my diving I have been able to see them in their natural habitat. Last December on my cheeky beer weekend to Lanzarote I got up close and personal with an Angel Shark it was such a buzz and then recently I caged dived with The Great Whites in Gansbaai in South Africa. Awesome. What is happening to sharks is a complete travesty and disgusting beyond all humanity. They deserve and should be protected species what ever the breed!

On getting home I finished my pumpkin for tomorrow night. Which is my blip as I didnt get any pics at the show!
