Leafing Balboa Park

It was pouring this morning. Wonderful, I got lots of housework done. Hubby had to work in the morning, the house was quiet.

The sky cleared to blue with white puffy clouds. The air was so clean, and so was the house! Late morning the phone rang, it was our long time friends, who used to be our neighbors, calling to see if we wanted to go to the IMAX movie, the Coral Reef and The Ultimate Wave Tahiti, at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center & Theater in Balboa Park. We miss our neighbors immensely. The live about 40 minutes away now. It was so nice when we could just walk 2 houses down. But we always enjoy our time with them when we see them. We met them when I was pregnant with our son, 29 years ago. Amazing how time flies. Anyways, we enjoyed our time at the Science Center and the movies.

We went to Old Town for dinner and walked around the shops. Went to McDonald's later for an ice cream. We laughed mostly, talked intensely at times, always picking up where we left off.
