Rosy fingered dusk

Rosy fingered dawn is one of the epithets that Homer often uses in the Odyssey and it is one that has stuck with me since school - but tonight over Aberdeen we had a rosy fingered dusk and for fifteen minutes or so it was spectacular before the usual grey blue sky settled in.
