Pumpkin of Pumpkins

Cinderella didn't put in an appearance after all, so her carriage remained unused - that is until today. We crafted this home-grown beast of a specimen into a not so scary lantern.

Once the top was opened, daughter 1 and I had great fun in pulling out the seeds and setting them aside for roasting. Anyone who's done this will know, the inside of a pumpkin contains a stringy, gooey, orange mess that's sticky and slimey. Great fun!

I roasted cremated some of the seeds in the oven later on. I think we'll have another go tomorrow. We also scraped out some of the flesh for turning into soup.
