Natures architects

In one corner of the garden are a group of Agave plants and in between the spiky leaves are spiders who have built an unusual cluster of webs shaped like domes. I am used to seeing the flat and round ones but these I found quite amazing. Each and every section was anchored nice and taut to form a half ball. I couldn't help but think and compare it to our own homes. How we have to calculate and use measurements to come up with a house built to last while these tiny creatures just keep going up and down, round and round and seem to know exactly what they need to do. They're like natures little architects and engineers.
