Late afternoon on Strandhill
It rained all day Thursday and Friday. Feeling stir crazy, I jumped in the car and drove for an hour to Strandhill, Co Sligo. I really love the fact that the weather can be so much better after a short drive.
Strandhill is surfing territory, with the beach overlooked by the spectacular Ben Bulbin (as impressive as Table Mountain in Capetown). The water is unsafe for bathing, though it is a great beach for walking and blowing away cob webs.
There is a great place establishment here, offering hot sea weed baths, which was much appreciated after a long walk. Feeling refreshed, the sun struggled through and I captured this scene.
A great day...
