Autumn leaves
No.2 son much better :-) So that's made for a good day. Not much to report though: washing, tidying, Sainsburys. And of course, no.1 son's swimming lesson, which is now firmly in place as his favourite event of the week.
Having said that, the highlight of my day was witnessing the two of them playing together properly for the first time. I was just getting the lunch ready and No.2 rascal was pulling things off our coat pegs. To his delight, he retrieved the belt off my coat and scampered off with it. No.1 rascal followed him, as though to admonish, but when he took one end of it and tried to walk away, no.2 pottered after him (still holding the first end). Thus followed a happy ten minutes of no.1 leading no.2 from the front of our house to the rear.... and back again.... and again (it's not a large house!) I was mesmerised. No.2 son did everything he was told and no.1 son was chatting to him incessantly, in a way he's never done before. I only had to intervene at the point that no.2 child fell over and despite no.1's best efforts he couldn't heave him back to his feet and no.2 stubbornly refused to raise himself (imagine how good the blip would have been if I hadn't been completely enthralled and incapable of considering such practicalities as photography).
This is either the beginnings of a wonderful friendship or the start of some serious scraps! I'm an only child, so I'm watching with great interest!!
Blip is no.1 on the way home from swimming. He is looking pretty pleased with himself (he kicked his legs today)! I had grand plans for a better blip but I was worried about no.2 out in the cold so hopefully tomorrow.......
