"Consecration Cross"

Our walk through Suffolk this week took us from the village of Barrow onto and through the villages of Dalham, Moulton, Gazeley and back to Barrow.
The photograph above was taken in "All Saints Church" at Gazeley and is of a painting and inscription of the "Consecration Cross" that dates from the consecration of the chancel in this church over 600 years ago, (circa 1410).
To be able to see and touch this 600 year old piece of history I find difficult to describe!
