lights made of string hanging on a string

So, this is the next blip in a potentially lengthy series featuring details of the world I inhabit from a closer than expected viewpoint. This is the string of lights that we have in the piano room (sounds grander than it is), looking at them from below and slightly sideways. The wall is a kind of ecclesiastical purple, but you can't reallly see the warmth of the colour in the photo. The beams look nice though.
