Well, I'M in the middle of a chain reaction! All this book-looking has had some strange effect on me. I'm going round all my shelves looking at 'stuff', some of it not looked at since I placed it there years ago. Just looking at the spines of these books, not even opening them, is spurring some memories of who, what, where, when, why. I remember reading those Henry Root books on the train on the way to work every day when I worked in London's Glittering West End, laughing out loud among the commuters. Much the same with the Far Side books. My train journey took about an hour each way and those were the days when I would read 2 or 3 (real not just comedy) books a week and still go out Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. How did I stay awake? (oh yes, er well, moving swiftly on ....)

I'm so fired up that I've started shifting stuff about, have been through all my paperwork, utilities, house-y stuff and sorted it all out, got a mountain of stuff to shred, still more stuff that has been categorised but not yet filed or ditched. I've been through some 'stuff' boxes, dug out some memories, put some memories back and thrown some memories out. Still more to do.

I've decided to sort through cds and get rid of a load. I've looked at Music Magpie but you only get 30p-ish so I'll post a list on the noticeboard at work first see if I can shift a few there and then maybe sell to Magpie later. This is feeling good!
