The visit

It's never as bad as you think it's going to be, having the in-laws to visit! (Well, except when it's worse). They arrived late last night, so today we had a fairly leisurely day - a long breakfast, a short wander round our local town (where this slightly ill-advised 'into the sun' shot was taken) and back home for a very leisurely lunch on the terrace. A baking hot day today - the kids were even asking to go in the pool, but were placated with a paddle in the river instead.

The day segued pretty much straight into a long dinner. So quite painless really. And I even managed to head off an attempt by Mr B to get his parents to do karaoke.
