I've seen these branches before - last fall, and last summer.

Tonight I saw them about 45 minutes past sunset, and could barely see in front of me on the walk home (although the branches are in the open on the river, at high water it's impossible to get to them without going through the woods).

And wow, I'm posting a blip! I haven't been shooting much since the days got shorter, and it probably won't get much better until spring, but I'm trying to get out on weekends.
