Joey's 1st Birthday bonanza/charity fundraiser

Joey turned 1 on the 22nd october. Pretty amazing feat considering he was given less than 5% chance of survival prior to birth and not much better odds after. Yet he's an amazing, irrepressible, whirlwind force of nature and to think of life without him makes me shiver. Ip and I always said during all the weeks of waiting while pregnant that WHEN our baby made it we would have a massive massive party on his 1st birthday. So he kept his end of the bargain and stayed with us :o) so we kept ours! We had a great big party with all our family and friends and loved ones, and we also took the opportunity to raise money for the neonatal units at Liverpool women's and warrington hospital where Joey life was saved and nurtured. We had a raffle and number of other competitions as well as being in fancy dress and we managed to raise £730 in total for the hospitals thanks to all the wonderful people who helped us on the night by putting their hands in their pockets. We are grateful for our wonderful family and friends, we are grateful for the hospitals and the amazing staff and most of all we are thankful for our two beautiful boys Lucas and JOEY. Happy birthday baby, I love you more than MIckey Mouse. xxxxxx
