Marguerite Hautier....

.....une héroïne de la résistance de la guerre mondiale deuxième. My old aunt passed away in Brussels today. She was 91 years old and lived a life I can only imagine. As a young woman during WWII, she joined the Belgian resistance, was eventually captured by the Gestapo and tortured. She survived and went on to live an amazing life, rebuilding shattered Belgium and having a beautiful family.

To my family in Belgium tonight; nous vous aimons et pensons à vous au temps triste. Tante Marguerite....elle était une femme remarquable et nous sommes reconnaissants pendant le temps où nous l'avons connue.
