Leaves in the Wind

October has been strange to say the least. We are starting our last week and for the next 2 days we under a "High Wind Warning". This is odd for a couple of reasons: 1)High wind is not something we ever get at any time of the year 2)The high winds are brought to use by an enormous thunderstorm passing through the midwest. Thunderstorms in October are extremely unusual. My husband buttoned down the hatches yesterday in preparation which included making room for our best car in the garage. By best I'm referring to our 2007 Honda Civic; no Mercedes here. Gusts up to 60 mph are expected with sustained wind up to 40 mph. A car parked under a 150+ year old maple tree is not a great idea. So, the little one and I hunker down indoors to wait it out.
