Forces at work
A very wet day, lots of water everywhere - and mud!
These leaves have a waxy cuticle, that protects them from things. Waxy substances are hydrophobic - they don't like mixing with water. Thus the leaves tend to stick with themselves and so does the water. Hence the blobs. Knowing what makes the water droplets form doesn't diminish the effect however, it enhances it - you can see a whole hidden orchestra of forces at work.
