The sentinel

After arriving in my beloved Pakawau mid-afternoon I unpacked and then contemplated life for a while before heading north a bit just to see how things looked.

On the way back there were a couple of guys on the beach lighting up an evening fire. They didn't seem to be having too much luck. If you squint and look to the right of the image you may just make them out, hunkered over their meagre fire!
