Pumpkin Cookies

It is getting to be Halloween season for real around here. The witches, ghosts, goblins, vampires, and assorted super heroes will soon be tromping the streets in search of candy and other sweets.
The bakery in my town produces these particular cookies only at Halloween time. They have always been a family favorite and my grown up and moved away kids still talk about how much they liked those cookies.
