The morning after

After a hectic night of sickness where the family played musical beds - Grace ended up in with us, I ended up in hers (good job I'm so small), we woke up a bit bleary-eyed this morning to see a very hard frost outside. Despite having been a bit poorly overnight, Grace was bright and chirpy and desperate to go out and see her friends at softplay. Hubby had had a terribly poorly night, and was in no fit state to go anywhere.

The soft play centre, Splatz!, was very aptly named today as Grace, who had been fine and playing quite happily all morning, suddenly spewed forth a gush of vomit under the lunch tables, managing to spray it all over the chairs and legs of most of our party. I feel really guilty now, as I shouldn't have taken her out, but she honestly seemed fine. I now know that the 48 hour rule for taking kids out after sickness is a good one, and hope against hope that she hasn't spread the bug too far.

When we got home, Grace crawled into our bed and fell asleep for several hours. She has gone back there for tonight, so that Hubby can keep an ear out for her in case she's poorly again. I'm going back into the toddler bed, which is very small, but I really don't mind because I get to share a room with Ophelia again :)
