Day 4 - Hells Mouth and Geevor

Woke up to the final day in the B&B, ate our third full English cooked breakfast in a row. And departed, waving goodbye madly to our landlady and looking forward to two days of self catering where we wouldn't have to face another full English cooked breakfast.

The route down to Penzance could have tken us past anywhere, so we elected to have a look at Hells Mouth. This is a place where sad and/or unbalanced people traditionally fall over the edge of the cliff to be dashed on the rocks below.
We took a few shots of the sea and rocks, but there was only a tiny fence to stop us falling over the edge, and there wall a hell of a wind trying to push us into the sea. For health and safety reasons, we repaired to a NT beach just down the road where at sea-level, the wind was slightly less strong and was ideal for kite flying. We didn't have a kite.

Able to drink loads of coffee in the little cafe and furtle about in rockpools and take nice pics of the lighthouse.

The person in the picture and his partner were not locals. I know this to be a fact because they didn't have a dog.
They did have a kite though. I cropped it out of this pic because we didn't have one.

In the afternoon we drove to the Geevor Tin Mine and was given a guided tour around the factory by a man who didn't have a dog, but was a local. I know this because he had some very interesting views about kids. He reckons that if they were put to work in tin mines at age 10, they would be dead before they were old enough to take part in drive-by shootings.
The trip below ground was especially good. Flick bottled out of that.

Found our accomodation in an old converted primary school. Bliss.
