The boys

Amazing day today.

We're on holiday for the week (a staycation!) and we arranged to meet up with some good friends to go for a long walk today, taking in a wee cheeky pub lunch halfway round.

Glorious sunshine when we met at Broadway, and despite the cold, soon warmed up as we set off up the hill to Broadway Tower. Map reading skills at the bottom left a little bit to be desired and there was a little bit of backtracking and fence climbing going on, but we got there in the end, enjoyed the views and then carried on.

However it was all a bit hilly in places - here are the boys getting impatient at the top of one! - and we began to realise we'd seriously underestimated our timings and would not reach the planned pub stop by 2pm! Disaster!

So a bit of map reading later, we readjusted our route back to Broadway and frequented a "food served all day" establishment there!

Mr Mutley and Bill got on famously (it was actually the first time they've met), however were no good at posing for the camera I'm afraid - still quite a handsome pair though I think!
