The mad wind
Beautiful blue skies as you can see. Dawn was spectacular up in the hills but we were delivering some very important evidence to the planning officer - so no time for photo stops. But today was all about the wind.
There's a wind round these parts that, they say, turns people mad. It is said that if the wind blows for ten days straight a man can murder his wife with impunity. (It doesn't seem to work the other way round). Today we certainly had wind - blowing these enormous trees in our garden to 45 degrees, and bringing down such big branches that the kids were banned from going outside - but I'm not sure it was strictly speaking the mad wind. I'll let you know in another nine days.
Our fragile electricity supply could give way at any moment... so I'm off.
